InfraVis at AlmedalsveckanAlmedalsveckan is one of the biggest democratic fora in the world. During one week in June, policymakers, researchers, civil society actors, and engaged citizens gather to discuss democracy and policies, and to participate in various events. This year, over 30000 people visited Almedalsveckan. InfraVis was there to engage with Swedish stakeholders and decision-makers on strategic questions, and to highlight the possibilities that Swedish researchers and other infrastructures have regarding support from and cooperation with us. | | | |
Ship Ahoy at UN ConferenceResearchers and InfraVis users Ida-Maja Hassellöv and Anna Lunde Hermansson presented their project "Ship Ahoy! Navigating away from limited visibility, to
unveil the environmental pressures and impacts from
maritime transport" (with Ida-Maja Hassellöv) at the United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice in June. The visualization is also available online. | | | | InfraVis at
LINXS inaugural conferenceLINXS Institute of Advanced Neutron and X-Ray Science moved to Lund Science Village this spring and had its inaugural conference in May. InfraVis arranged interactive demo sessions in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) at the conference. Here the participants had the opportunity to virtually visit the MAX IV beamline ForMAX. Sample datasets of proteins and microfossils were also available for the visitors to explore in both AR and in VR. Read more about the inauguration on LINXS' website.

Humlab at Umeå University is hosting a Humanities Infrastructures day, welcoming researchers in the humanities and social sciences, but open to anyone interested in research infrastructures represented at Humlab. Participants will have the opportunity to explore examples from the infrastructures projects and/or resources, engage in discussions with infrastructure representatives and fellow researchers, and discover how these resources can support and enhance their own work. Apart from InfraVis, the following infrastructures will be there:
